We are hiring a communications & events manager!
This will be an hourly contract role estimated to require 5 hours/week.
Responsibilities:
Attend executive board meetings
Ensure all proposed events are being organized (check in with the social, service and professional development committee regularly)
Promote events through all communications channels (Mailchimp, Eventbrite, website, social media) and partner organizations
Works with comms team to write content for newsletter and the website
Posts national service relevant content to social media platforms
Seeks opportunities to increase the overall awareness of Americorps Alums DC through community events (tabling), conferences and networking events
While there are no official requirements a love of national service and understanding of start up culture are a plus along with non profit experience.
