We are hiring a communications & events manager!

This will be an hourly contract role estimated to require 5 hours/week.

Responsibilities:

  • Attend executive board meetings

  • Ensure all proposed events are being organized (check in with the social, service and professional development committee regularly)

  • Promote events through all communications channels (Mailchimp, Eventbrite, website, social media) and partner organizations

  • Works with comms team to write content for newsletter and the website

  • Posts national service relevant content to social media platforms 

  • Seeks opportunities to increase the overall awareness of Americorps Alums DC through community events (tabling), conferences and networking events

While there are no official requirements a love of national service and understanding of start up culture are a plus along with non profit experience.
