Service Event with Shepherd’s Table

Join AmeriCorps Alums DC and their family and friends from 5:00 pm to 7:30 pm on Saturday, July 20 at Shepherd’s Table to set up and serve their evening meal – and help continue their unbeaten streak of serving more than 130,000 meals without missing a single day!

Support the AmeriCorps Alums DC & Everybody Wins DC Little Free Library! The library is located in front of the James Creek Housing Authority at 1265 Half St SW, DC. 

AmeriCorps Alums DC & Everybody Wins DC fils the library with 50 books at least 4 times a year. To support these quarterly re-stocks consider purchasing one of the books listed here!

Watch the 8th & I Military Parade

The 8th & I Marine Barracks is the oldest post of the Corps and the home of The President's Own marching band. It's an essential Washington DC must see!

Please note the following:

  • There are loud noise during this parade including gunfire and cannon fire.

  • This event is rain or shine barring thunderstorms.

  • The seating is metal bleachers, a stadium cushion is recommended.

  • There is a security inspection, food, drink and weapons are not allowed.

  • Everyone needs to enter at the same time, please be on time. Text the host if you are going to be late or can't come.

AmeriCorps Alums at the Ballpark!

AmeriCorps Alums DC has received free tickets to the Nationals vs. Padres game on May 24th through the Nationals Community Grant Program and we would like you to join us!

Tickets are available on a first come first serve basis. And because these tickets are donated, it is extremely important that we use them all, so please only sign up if you sure you can attend.

Alums are welcome to RSVP for up to two tickets. Guests do not need to be AmeriCorps alums, though it's always nice if they are!

Details on the tickets will be provided to registrants closer to the event.

Everybody Wins DC Book Packing Event

Everybody Wins DC Book Packing Event

For more than 25 years, Everybody Wins DC has been guided by a simple yet powerful belief: When children read or are read to, they build the skills needed to thrive in the classroom and in life.

Volunteers will assist EWDC staff with sorting book donations and processing prior to student distribution. Each book will be accompanied by an inspirational note written by volunteers.
